Uganda Delegation Participates in 2013 Aid Management Program Best Practices Workshop
Development Gateway hosted the sixth annual Aid Management Platform best practices workshop from December 11-13th in Addis Ababa. The site of the first AMP project, the workshop brought together representatives from 14 countries that have implemented the AMP. The conference opened a collaborative forum to discuss AMP best practices and across countries at different stages of AMP implementation. The Government of Uganda sent three representatives from the Aid Liaison Department (MoFPED) to attend the conference. The Uganda delegation discussed the PIMIS geocoding initiative that took place from July 2013 to January 2014, highlighting the ways it will use the mapped data to strengthen its development planning and public investment strategies.
